Appointments at Arctic Dawn are individualized, unhurried, and grounded in attentive therapeutic care. Sessions emphasize clear communication, thoughtful pacing, and responsiveness to your needs. Therapeutic sessions focus on pain relief and functional support, while restorative sessions emphasize nervous system recovery and deep relaxation.
All sessions are provided in our Midtown Anchorage studio.
Prior to your first visit, you will complete a brief intake form to help guide session planning and ensure care aligns with your goals and health history.
If you plan to use insurance benefits or have questions about billing or documentation, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to allow time for benefit verification and coordination.
Some insurance plans require a physician referral or prior authorization to bill therapeutic services. When required, referrals typically include a diagnosis code and may specify frequency and duration of care.
Required referral information must be received prior to billing insurance.
If you are scheduled for a restorative session, no referral or insurance coordination is required.
Sessions begin with a brief check-in to review relevant health history, current concerns, and priorities for the visit. Care is then provided using therapeutic manual therapy techniques selected based on your presentation and response.

Throughout the session:
• pressure and pacing are adjusted as needed
• feedback is welcomed and encouraged
• care remains responsive rather than scripted
Sessions may focus on specific areas or address broader patterns depending on your needs and goals.
Your comfort, safety, and sense of being heard are central to the session experience.
Proper draping is used at all times, and adjustments can be made for comfort or sensitivity.
Sessions conclude with an integration phase to support nervous system settling and a comfortable transition back into daily activity. Restorative sessions allow additional time for heat therapy, stillness, and full relaxation.
Care is provided with respect for the broader context of whole-person well-being, recognizing that comfort, recovery, and regulation are influenced by many aspects of daily life.
